Maintain Infrastructure
Report Damaged Fences
The entire area is fenced and the fences need to be maintained. Damaged fences are reported to Tshwane.
Maintain Trails
All the trails within the area are regularly cut open and maintained. This is very labour-intensive, so your friendly donation helps fund this work.
Cleaning Actions
Litter and garbage are regularly removed from the mountain.
Eradicate Invasive Plants
One of our main focus areas is to eradicate invasive plants from the mountain. This is very labour-intensive, so your friendly donation helps fund this work.
Liaise with WESSA
We are a proud member of WESSA, the Wildlife & Environment Society of South Africa. We attend WESSA meetings, and we provide regular feedback to WESSA on our activities.
Liaise with Tshwane Department of Nature Conservation
We work under stewardship and guidance from Tshwane’s Department of Nature Conservation. We provide regular feedback to Tshwane on our activities.
Liaise with Residents
We maintain a close and friendly relationship with surrounding residents, Ward Councillors, security companies, and the media. We respond to complaints and suggestions.
Liaise with our Members
Our members are our valued partners. Everyone who uses the mountain is our eyes and ears on the mountain. Regular feedback is given to members, and members are also invited to our AGM.
